Elder's Gathering, and 'Lessons from People of the Corn'
On Tuesday Jan. 22 at 4pm there will be a talk by Gustavo
Esteva from Mexico on 'Commoning the World' followed by a Chocolatada (a
chocolate and tortilla musical coffee house and celebration:) until 8pm in the
Champlain Living Learning Commons (above the Spoon). Bring your songs and poetry
to share if you wish:)
Gustavo will also be doing a Traditional Teaching
on Wednesday Jan. 23 on 'Indigenous Learning' and a Pine Tree Lecture on
Thursday Jan. 24 on 'Indigenous Knowledge in Action: Lessons from the
Zapatistas'. Both are at 6:30pm in the Gathering Space.
Finally, if you
miss these talks, Gustavo will be speaking at the Elder's Gathering on Saturday
